Polidette fratello di Ditti che regnava su Sefiro, che era caro a Danae, anche quando Perseo diventava adulto non potendo stare insieme a lei, invitava gli amici, tra cui anche Perseo, dicendo di raccogliere un contributo per le nozze di Ippodamia e Enomao. Poiché Perseo disse di non contraddire neanche il consenso della Gorgone, chiese ai restanti dei cavalli, non avendo preso i cavalli ordinò a Perseo di portare la testa della Gorgone.
